11 teenagers want to improve their English skills
We got some news about the second englishcamp, be ecxited whats on the program for this week! Between the Big Ben and a typical red telephone cell (out of cardboard), the participants were welcomed by Englishcamp experienced teamers from teamEXPERTE.Getting to know each other was the first thing we did in the afternoon after the arrival of everybody. We also asked them to answer honestly, why they are here at the Englishcamp. Most of them came by choice and weren’t send from their parents which is a great precondition and the learning shlould be easier.
Later on, we explained the different rules of the youth hostel and of the camp, but there aren’t many. They include what to do, if the kids want to leave the area during their free time and go to the supermarket for example. They are allowed to do so, if they are in a group of at least three people and tell one of the teamers where they are going and when they plan to be back.
In the evening we did the daily language hour with special aspect on speaking English. As it still was the first day, we planned something to get to know each other even better after the games in the afternoon. It consisted of drawing something for each of the following categories: favourite food, hobby, a toy they play/used to play with and something they hate. The twist is, that only three of these represent the truth and one is a lie. Everybody presented his paintings and we discussed them, the final solution who lied in which category will be done in two days, if we didn’t guess it until then!Learning english and having fun, yes thats possible!
