Sixth and last day came to an end with a highlight
The Englishcamp in Glückstadt came to an end today, but we still took advantage of the last hours. We went to Itzehoe to play blacklight minigolf, it plays like normal outdoor minigolf, but it’s inside in a darkened room with special UV-lights which let everything neon and fluorescent glow bright. At the start we even got special paint that glows and we painted our faces to look like cats or made ourselves nice jewellery by painting rings or bracelets.
Every evening of the camp we did “the vocab of the day”. When we trainers went in the different bedrooms to wish everybody a good night, we asked them, what is their word of the day. It can be chosen because it is a completely new word for them or perhaps they learned how to pronounce it or how it is spelled. By doing so, the day could be passed in review once again and the best actions could be discussed or you could laugh because you remembered something funny. The chosen word also gets reinforced a bit more in the brain. As a last round before definitely saying goodbye after lunch, we tried to find the “vocab of the camp”, it is eggplant, shortly followed by dike and caterpillar.
But after all, it wasn’t the last Englishcamp. They take place in Mölln and Glückstadt, some last spots for the Englishcamp in Glückstadt from the 21.10 to the 26.10 are still avaible, so go and book them if you’d like to!
